Vucic with Sobotka: Normalization of relations with Pristina depends on the formation of the CSM
The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, met with the President of the Austrian Parliament, Wolfgang Sobotka, and emphasized on that occasion that Belgrade is fully committed to the dialogue with Pristina and ready to work on implementing the European proposal concept, with certain limitations in accordance with the principles of international law.
As stated in the Presidency's press release, Vucic presented to the President of the Austrian Parliament the aforementioned limitations as well as the necessity of forming the Community of Serb Municipalities, that is, for Pristina to fulfill its obligations under the Brussels and other previous agreements.
Vucic added that Austria is an important economic partner of Serbia in various fields, especially in the domain of economic cooperation, which is expected to strengthen further.
The two interlocutors agree that parliamentary cooperation is crucial for the bilateral relations between Serbia and Austria and that the visit of President Sobotka to the Austrian Parliament gives a significant boost to enhancing the ties between the two countries.
Vucic emphasized that Serbia greatly appreciates Austria's support on the path to EU membership as well as in maintaining peace and stability in the Western Balkans region.
