President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, stated this evening, regarding the resignation of the head of the Security Intelligence Agency, that Aleksandar Vulin had never been anyone's agent, and certainly not a Russian agent, but that he had worked solely for his country.

Vucic, speaking to TV Pink, said that it was not easy for him to comment on Vulin's resignation because Vulin was his friend and someone he had spent a lot of time with.

"His head has not rolled or anything of the sort. It is true that there were pressures from the moment he was appointed to this position. From the very first day, there were pressures, and it was unambiguous. Vulin seriously knows how this works and what the consequences were or could be", he explained.

Vucic said that he could not comment on certain things because he was obligated to keep secrets.

He thanked Vulin for his contribution to preserving the country's security and ensuring its independence and sovereignty, which was one of the fundamental principles of the policy followed by everyone in power.

"I look forward to future cooperation with him. It's not the end of the world, and I'm convinced it's not the end of shared success", he underlined.

Regarding Zorana Mihajlovic's claims that he is to blame for Vulin serving as the head of the Security Intelligence Agency for so long, Vucic admitted his responsibility, just as he was responsible for her, much more so than for Vulin.

"Vulin is not anyone's agent, and he is not an agent of the Russian Federation. I would rather not talk about who is an agent and who is just a lackey of the USA. I don't have the right to talk about it, no matter how much evidence I have. If I were to speak about everything I know, you would have to create a show called 'Earth open up and swallow me'. Vulin was never a Russian agent, and whether he always liked Russia more than the US or the English, there is no doubt about it, and he is proud of it. That he worked for someone else, that's just a lie", he emphasized.

Vucic, while reminding that today marks six months since the horrific tragedy at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" school and the following day in Dubona and Orasje, expressed his condolences once again to the family members of the victims.

"Once again, I wish to extend my condolences to the families of the victims, and I want to say that, despite the difficult circumstances and the greatest tragedy that has struck our country, we have made efforts to do what we can. This includes, first and foremost, the disarmament of the nation, as well as measures to improve the safety of our children in schools", he said.

For 12 years, I have been listening to lies that I will recognize Kosovo after the elections

Vucic once again rejected claims from certain opposition leaders that he would recognize Kosovo after the elections.

He also says that all the attacks by the opposition, including the film broadcast on TV N1, serve the same purpose.

"Point 1 - they said that they had found out that I would recognize Kosovo as soon as the elections were over. I have been listening to the same lies and nonsense for 12 years", Vucic stated, reminding that the position before the previous elections had been that he would impose sanctions on Russia after April 3, 2022, which had not happened.

He added that the film had been timed for the start of the campaign to belittle and degrade the "Serbia Must Not Stop" list.

He noted that it was unfortunate that an atmosphere had been created where anything could be done.

"They really judged me there, they set up an empty chair... It's easiest to be convincingly judgmental toward an empty chair... But that's neither democratic nor fair, I don't understand the point... They have no idea what they're talking about; they were given the task of vilifying Vucic, so the verdict has to be the death penalty. Such a trial hasn't been recorded even in 1945/1946", Vucic added.

He added that it had continued with other attacks, on his family, mother, and father, something that, he said, basic decency dictated should not be done.

"Because they have nothing to offer except hatred", he added.

He stated that the more important fact was that the total level of investments in Serbia, up to October 31, was 3.792 billion euros, which was seven percent higher than the record year before.

"These are news that signify economic growth, an increase in pensions, salaries... Pensioners are receiving increased pensions, and we're assisting recipients of social welfare and personal care... A large factory is coming to Nis. We have to keep doing this, pushing the country forward. I am convinced that we will succeed, and I am sure that people are noticing this", Vucic concluded.
