Serbia will change its doctrine and approach to the Kosovo issue, and it will no longer be possible to put the country in a fait accompli situation, the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated.

"Twenty-five years ago, they started taking away Kosovo and Metohija from us with weapons, and they haven't stopped even today," Vucic emphasized in a statement to journalists after receiving students from Kosovo at the Palace of Serbia.

He stressed that Serbia would continue to honorably defend freedom and international law.

Vucic said he expected only bad news for Serbia in the coming period, but he would talk about it in the coming days.

He briefly noted that this bad news primarily concerned how Serbia had been "deceived, lied to by some so-called friends, regarding Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe."

"We said what would happen when this is done, as they think they have the right to interpret the agreement falsely. It will be very difficult for us because someone's intention is only to push the Serbs further away from Kosovo and Metohija, and at the same time to provide full legitimacy and legality to those who expel the Serbs from their actions. This is just a part of what is being prepared for us," Vucic emphasized.

He said it was important for Serbia to strengthen itself and understand its position.

"It will not be easy, especially for the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. Changes in doctrine and approach will follow, and they will no longer be able to put us in a fait accompli situation. You can force through everything, but you will have to admit that you are doing it by force. Will we have to accept something that is forced upon us? Probably yes, but it will be known that it was done by force," the President of Serbia emphasized.

Therefore, Serbia's approach, he repeats, will be significantly different.

"When someone deceives you once, it happens to good people; when they deceive you a second time, it means you trusted too much or wanted to believe, but if it continues, then it speaks to what fools you are, and we are no longer such fools," Vucic stated.

He announced that in the coming days, he would speak more about the region and all the dangers looming over Europe and the world.
