Zecevic: If Kurti comes to Ohrid with the stance that the CSM will not be formed, it is a "dialogue of the deaf"

The only thing that the EU Special Representative for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak, could possibly boast about after the meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic would be possible developments in the talks on some other important topics, such as energy, Slobodan Zecevic of the Institute for European Studies says, Novosti reports.

Zecevic adds that if Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti comes to Ohrid with the stance that the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities will not be formed, then that is a "dialogue of the deaf."

Since there has been no progress in the talks on the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, he believes the only thing that can be considered progress is the talk on other important topics, for example, energy.

On the other hand, Zecevic notes that if Kurti comes to Ohrid with the stance that the CSM will not be formed, it will be a "dialogue of the deaf" because the Serbian side does not want that.

"When it comes to the CSM, it is clear that Kurti will not implement what was agreed upon and that he will try to expel the Serbian population through pressure and arrests," Zecevic says.

He adds that when it comes to offering him modalities that are not in accordance with the Brussels Agreement, it is clear that they are out of the question, and he does not know why he would be offered any other modalities.
