Zeqaj: It is concerning whose hands Kosovo is in today
Journalist Florent Zeqaj said that it is concerning whose hands Kosovo is in today, recalling Albin Kurti's previous statements that the alliance with the United States was "superficial and narrow" and not an alliance for the future, RTV 21 reported.
"The question is this: the prime minister who now leads the state of Kosovo held this view of America before coming to power. That makes it concerning whose hands the state of Kosovo is in today," Zeqaj said.
Speaking about possible political agreements, Zeqaj said that, according to his information, the Democratic League of Kosovo could enter into a coalition with Albin Kurti only under certain conditions.
He assessed that the opposition had a historic opportunity to form a government in February.
He recalled that Kurti himself came to power thanks to strong opposition activity.
"Kurti was a strong opposition figure. His vigorous opposition campaign and the deceptions he employed brought him to power," Zeqaj said.
According to him, Kurti has faced a weak opposition for the past six years, which, he claims, has been more concerned with its own interests.
Speaking about the Democratic League of Kosovo, Zeqaj said that the party's leader, Lumir Abdixhiku, should be removed from his leadership positions.
"Based on what we have seen, his performance and the demands he has made within the party suggest that he appears to have committed a political betrayal within the Democratic League of Kosovo," Zeqaj concluded.
