Hamiti: Due to Self-Determination’s poor policies, Kosovo has no strategic energy projects
Former Kosovo Ambassador to the United Kingdom Muhamet Hamiti stated that Kosovo could remain the only country in the Western Balkans without access to American liquefied natural gas due to the poor policies of Kosovo’s caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the Self-Determination Movement, Front Online reports.
Hamiti pointed out that Kosovo is missing important strategic opportunities.
“Kosovo, the country with the most pro-American people in Europe, could remain the only country in the Western Balkans without access to American liquefied natural gas because of the misguided policies of Self-Determination leader Albin Kurti,” Hamiti told Front Online.
Hamiti said that energy security is directly linked to national security, which became particularly evident in Europe in recent years when dependence on Russian gas turned into a security issue for countries across the continent.
He also noted that Kosovo’s government lacks tangible results in terms of economic development.
“Over the past five or six years, Albin Kurti has not implemented a single major economic project. Not even a medium-sized one,” Hamiti stated.
He also pointed out that Kosovo is facing the consequences of its political choices.
