Albanian Government on US Embassy warning: We have no concerning information

The Government of Albania stated that law enforcement authorities have no concerning information regarding the assumption made by the US Embassy in Tirana, which yesterday warned American citizens that groups linked to Iran could “target entities” connected to the United States in Albania.

“The US Embassy regularly issues such warnings, even when opposition groups protest, set trash bins on fire, or throw Molotov cocktails to appear in photos in foreign newspapers, but the law enforcement authorities of the Republic of Albania have no concerning information regarding this assumption by the US Embassy. Therefore, we invite American citizens not to miss any of the wonderful opportunities Albania offers, with its countless tourist sites, unmatched hospitality, and excellent cuisine,” the statement by the Albanian Government’s Agency for Media and Information said, as reported by A2 News.

The US Embassy in Tirana yesterday warned American citizens that groups linked to Iran could “target entities” connected to the United States in Albania.

“Groups linked to Iran may attempt to target entities associated with elements of the US or Iranian opposition in Albania,” the US Embassy in Tirana said in its warning.
