Spahiu: Despite strong positions, Albania and Kosovo are not targets of Iran
Analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu assessed that there is no real danger of Iranian activity in Europe. Speaking to Kosovo Online, he also commented on the strong positions of Albania and Kosovo, emphasizing that he does not believe Tehran will take them seriously.
“I do not believe that Iran will deal with Europe, given that the largest European countries did not support Donald Trump in the war against Iran, so there is no reason for them to spend their energy and create enemies out of neutral parties,” Spahiu said.
Commenting on the strong positions of Albania and Kosovo toward Iran, he assessed that their significance is not decisive.
“Perhaps the only countries that have been the most aggressive in this regard are Albania, which adopted a resolution against Iran and hosts a base of the Iranian opposition with several thousand people, and Kosovo with its declarations, but I do not believe that Iran will take this seriously, given that these are small and insignificant countries in global terms, so I do not believe such a danger exists,” he stated.
Spahiu also dismissed the possibility of individual attacks.
“I do not believe such individuals exist. They are usually mercenaries under the influence of some center of power. If Iran does not direct them or encourage them, I do not believe anyone would do it on their own initiative,” he emphasized.
He concludes that Iran’s focus will remain outside Europe.
“Such individuals are usually under the influence of some center of power, misled and carried away into causing problems. But I hope that Iran will not deal with Europe as long as it has its own difficulties with Israel and the United States,” Spahiu concluded.
