Zlatan Elek, the president of the Serb List, stated today for Kosovo Online that he was very pleased with the election results because the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija had demonstrated unity and support for the "Serbia Must Not Stop" list.

"I am glad that yesterday passed in a calm and democratic atmosphere where we all could vote and that there were no incidents at any polling station. Unfortunately, I have to note that despite requests to the European Union to facilitate easier crossing over the administrative crossing, none of them were respected. Citizens of Serbian nationality both north and south of the Ibar River had to travel for seven, eight hours, and more to cast their votes. It is not difficult for us when we know that we are voting and standing by our state. The election results showed that the Serbs from the north of Kosovo are always aligned with the policies of Aleksandar Vucic. They showed that Serbia must not stop and that they trust the president, and these results did not surprise me at all, given that we had conducted surveys here that indicated that Aleksandar Vucic and the list 'Serbia Must Not Stop' would convincingly win," Elek said.

He pointed out that the high turnout of people from Kosovo demonstrated a strong belief in the policies implemented by Aleksandar Vucic.

"Vucic has come to Kosovo and Metohija on several occasions, as prime minister and as president. The most important thing, and the reason people trust him, is the fact that everything he promised has been done here in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija. However, there is still much to be done, so Serbia must not stop. Many more people need to be employed. All the promises given to us have been fulfilled, including job postings at the Clinical Hospital Center and employment in the Interim Authorities under the jurisdiction of the state of Serbia. Therefore, the people only see their future with Vucic here in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, and that's why the turnout is as it is. We simply have no one else to vote for. We see what the opposition thinks of us; we see that we are a burden to them. We know what the outcome would be if they came to power. Of course, guided by that experience, it wasn't difficult to wait yesterday for five, six, or seven hours. Our state of Serbia and our president, Aleksandar Vucic, definitely deserve that," the president of the Serb List emphasized.
