President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated tonight that the state will never give up on the Serbian people in Kosovo and will always be with them, even in the toughest conditions, as he knows the hardships they are going through.

Vucic, at the pre-election rally of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in Belgrade, mentioned the conflict in Banjska on September 24, between Serbs and the Kosovo Police, reminding that everyone turned against the people in Kosovo on that day and condemned them.

"In every difficult moment, all they know is to accuse Serbia," he remarked.

He pointed out that there are difficult moments in Kosovo, and there will be even tougher ones, he warned.

"But, we will never give up on our people, and we will never turn our backs on them. Greetings to our brothers and sisters in Kosovo and Metohija, let them know that we will always be with them, even in the most difficult conditions and circumstances, and we will not disown them, and we will never attack them for anything because we know the hardships they are going through," Vucic emphasized.

He added that as long as the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leads Serbia, the country will not abandon its people in the Republic of Srpska.

He stated that since the SNS has been in power, it advocates for Serbia to pursue a free and liberating policy, without conflicts and hatred.

"Serbia is one of the few countries in Europe that pursues an independent, free, and liberating policy. I am proud of this fact because you, the citizens of Serbia, can determine what Serbia will do. No one can forbid us, as they have been doing for decades, from making a film about Jasenovac, from talking about Serbian victims. No one can forbid us from naming a boulevard after the heroes of Koshare. No one can forbid us from respecting our heroes and our heroic fighters for Kosovo and Metohija, fighters for Serbian interests. No one can forbid us to protect our national interests," Vucic stated.

He added that thanks to the SNS, Serbia is the only country in Europe that has not stood in line to fulfill someone else's orders.

"Then they say - you haven't aligned yourselves. My task is to align with my people and my country. It's good that you don't know and don't dream about the pressures we endured, but you don't need to know. We need to have a rational attitude to respect them because we know how big and powerful they are, and we know how much we are not big enough to compare with them. However, we have our piece of land and people, and we don't need anything foreign. We won't give away our own to anyone. This is an independent, liberating, and sovereign Serbia, and that's how we differ from those before us," emphasized Vucic.

He noted that Serbia is surrounded by NATO members but has a correct relationship with the Alliance, although it will never forget 1999.

"We have correct relations with NATO, and we will strive to keep it that way, but that doesn't mean we have forgotten 1999. We will commemorate and remind people every year of what happened. Our goal is to look to the future, but not to be ashamed, but to be proud of our brave past and to salute every hero who laid down their life for the homeland. We will erect monuments to them and never forget the price they paid for a free Serbia," Vucic stated.

He emphasized that the SNS aims for Serbia to be militarily neutral and to preserve its "sky and land." The Serbian army, he added, will become stronger not to attack others but to defend itself and save the lives of its citizens.

While addressing the crowd in the Arena, they chanted "Kosovo is the heart of Serbia" several times.
