Citizens of Strpce: Abolishing the dinar will lead to the exodus of the Serbs
The residents of the municipality of Strpce believe that the decision of the Central Bank of Kosovo to abolish the dinar is bad and will lead to the exodus of the Serbs from Kosovo.
Vladimir Stankovic, in a statement to Kosovo Online, emphasizes that the ban on the use of the dinar in Kosovo represents the expulsion of the Serbs from Zupa.
"This is chaos, it is the expulsion of the whole Zupa, and not only Zupa but all Serbs from Kosovo. One man is governing all of Europe," Stankovic said.
Zorica Sibinovic points out that this is the worst situation that can happen.
"We are used to the dinar, and now suddenly this. How will dinars come in the future will be the biggest problem, we depend on that. This is the worst that can happen to us," Sibinovic said.
Her fellow citizen Tomislav Sarkocevic emphasizes that the people are confused and don't know what to do.
"They want to close everything, both banks and post offices, everything. Until now, it was good, and the Post and the bank were here. Now we transferred the account to the Post and they say they will close it too, and then what do we do?" Sarkocevic wondered.
Biserka Dobric says she did not expect this.
"How it will be, only God knows, I did not expect it to be like this. What do we do now? Do I go somewhere else to get my pension, to look for papers, can I, it's a shame!" she said."
Cvetko Milenkovic emphasizes that the ban on the use of the dinar will lead to the emigration of the Serbs.
"It's not good at all, it's not good for the people. Everyone will move away from here; what will they do here, just spend the night? We have no other choice," Milenkovic said.
Stanomir Dimic believes that this is a state problem that needs to be resolved at the state level.
"This is a state affair, a state problem, this agony, not only of our people but also of the state, and it will be resolved at the state level, but our state, not Kosovo," Dimic said.
