Delevic: Witness confirms DNA analysis does not match Dragisa Vicentijevic

Attorney Milos Delevic stated today, following the hearing in the case concerning the attack on the Ibar–Lepenac canal, that the prosecution's witness, a DNA forensic expert, confirmed before the court that the DNA analysis did not match the defendant, Dragisa Vicentijevic.

He stressed that this finding is of great importance to his client.

"Today, a DNA forensic expert testified. He is a witness for the Special Prosecution. He examined 51 items submitted by the prosecution and the police. Of those 51 items, seven were found at the crime scene. What is important for Dragisa Vicentijevic, whom I represent, is that the expert confirmed there is no DNA match with Dragisa," Delevic said.

He also stated that the defense had requested the testimony of the FBI experts who worked on the case, noting that they had numerous questions for them.

"We have also proposed hearing the FBI experts who allegedly concluded that the soil found on the boots seized from the defendants' home matched the soil from the crime scene, that is, the site of the explosion. We have many questions for them, and I hope the court will grant our request," Delevic said.

At today's hearing in the Ibar–Lepenac case, the testimony of the two prosecution witnesses was concluded. The proceedings will resume in September.
