Kosovo in the category of destinations with "very high health risk" for travel

An international risk assessment company has investigated which destinations pose the greatest risks for travelers in 2024 based on safety data, health risks, and the impact of climate change, as reported by Reporteri.

According to the results, Kosovo falls into the category of countries with "very high health risks" for travel, along with Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Serbia and North Macedonia are rated as countries with "moderate health risks."

Albania, which welcomed around 10 million tourists in 2023, represents a "moderate health risk" and a "low security risk." However, it is emphasized that in the fourth factor, which considers "mental health," 10–12.5% of the population suffers from issues including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and schizophrenia.

All countries in the region pose a low risk in terms of safety, the impact of climate change, and mental health.
