Nikola Nedeljkovic finally in an embrace with his mother, father and sister. After he spent six months in detention on charges of Pristina for allegedly "inciting ethnic hatred and intolerance", the meeting with his relatives at the Mutivode crossing was more than emotional.

Nikola said that he was happy to be free, but that he was in prison only because he was a Serb.

"I don't want him to comment on the days spent in prison, I'm happy that I'm finally with my family. Right now I don't have any plans to summarize or settle any accounts. The most important thing is that this is all over, that I can finally go home with my family, for everything else there is time. I would like to thank all the people who have been with me and my family since the first day. I can say that I am happy. If for something I should have been in prison for a day, let it be because I am a Serb and that is why I was in prison," Nikola said.

Slobodanka Nedeljkovic, Nikola's mother, thanked everyone who was with them and supported them when it was most difficult.

"We are happy, we are excited, and thank you to everyone who supported us all the time, especially President Vucic. We have waited for this moment. This is the most important thing that he is now with us, everything else will be easy", Slobodanka said.
