Police officer Dejan Pantic, arrested on December 10 at the Jarinje administrative crossing and still in custody, will be released to defend himself from house arrest, "Blic" finds.

Pantic will be sent to the hospital first, where his general condition will be monitored, given that he spent almost three weeks in Jarinje at the Kosovo Police base.

The release of Dejan Pantic is the first demand of the Serbs from northern Kosovo, who set up roadblocks in several places in protest, where they remain to this day.

The request for Pantic's release was also made publicly by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, who was constantly in contact with Pantic's wife, Suzana Pantic.

As "Blic" finds, this news comes after Vucic's talks with European and American representatives that lasted throughout the night.

This victory of Serbia could raise hopes that this part of the Kosovo crisis, which has lasted for almost 20 days, is slowly coming to an end, given that the release of the arrested police officers is one of the Kosovo Serbs' demands.

Dejan Pantic was a member of the Kosovo Police, which he left at the beginning of November when the Serbs withdrew from Pristina institutions.

Pantic was arrested on December 10 at the Jarinje administrative crossing when he and his wife were returning from Raska. Pristina accuses him of organizing a "terrorist attack" on the Central Election Commission premises in northern Kosovo.

His lawyer and family pointed out that Pantic had been without the necessary therapy for days, that he was a CVD patient, and that they had not even managed to get in touch with him.
