The remains of Serbs who perished in World War I have been returned to the Serbian Orthodox cemetery in Mikronaselje in North Mitrovica, which was desecrated last year during the construction of a road to an Albanian house.

Many citizens attended the memorial service, including the President of the Interim Authority of Kosovska Mitrovica, Ivan Zaparozac, members of the Serb List, Igor Simic and Nemanja Bisevac, as well as former mayor Milan Radojevic.

This old Orthodox cemetery was desecrated in October last year when workers dug a road to the Albanian house that was being renovated.
