Representatives of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and the Presidency of Serbia distributed packages to the children of the "Pcelica Maja" kindergarten in Ranilug
Representatives of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and the Presidency of Serbia visited the "Pcelica Maja" Preschool Institution in Ranilug today and, on behalf of President Aleksandar Vucic, distributed packages to the youngest children.
Assistant Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Milos Terzic, stated in Ranilug that the state and the President would always stand in front of the Serbs in Kosovo.
"There is no force that can separate us from the Serbs, from our Kosovo, and our Metohija. Today, we continue the visit by touring the maternity ward in Pasjane, a hospital built thanks to the dedicated and hard work, primarily, of President Aleksandar Vucic. These actions are especially dear to us because it is precisely in Serbian communities in Kosovo and Metohija that we have the highest natural population growth. I am confident that, with continued support, both from the president and the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, which we will provide primarily for our healthcare system, but also in every sense and all spheres of social life, we will continue to help our Serbs, and it will be so in the future. To these people here, children and their parents, I want to express gratitude, first and foremost, for loving their homeland Serbia and preserving the Serbian name and surname here in Kosovo and Metohija", Terzic said.
The preschool Institution "Pcelica Maja" in Kosovska Kamenica - Veliko Ropotovo has around 170 children in nine branch departments. Director Srdjan Ristic expressed gratitude for the gifts and hoped that the number of children would increase in the coming years, noting that in the last two years, two new kindergartens had been built in Kosovska Kamenica and Korminjan.
"Of course, this action is very significant for us. This is not the first time that President Aleksandar Vucic has helped the Serbs here in Kosovo and Metohija, as he did this year. The children were very happy and delighted, and we, as their educators and teachers, believe that it is not just a gift package but also care for our children and care for all Serbs in the Kosovo and Metohija region", Ristic said.
The President of the Provisional Authority of Kosovska Kamenica, Tanja Aksic, emphasizes that the action, seemingly symbolic, means much more for the Serbs.
"About 170 gift packages were distributed. You saw those young children, those smiles on their faces, and I think it's a beautiful image that was sent today. On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude because, in the last three years, the Government of the Republic of Serbia, led by President Aleksandar Vucic, has invested a lot in our Kosovo Pomoravlje, especially in the municipality of Kosovska Kamenica, where two new facilities have been built. By investing in such facilities, we gain economic empowerment because we get new jobs, which are very important for the survival of the Serbs in these areas", Aksic said.
Representatives of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and the Presidency continued their visit by touring the maternity ward in Pasjane, which operates as a part of the Health Center Gnjilane. Prior to this, they visited the village of Banje and the Preschool Institution "Maja".
