In Strpce, they welcomed the Orthodox New Year with the desire to live in peace, in their homes

The residents of Strpce entered the Orthodox New Year with a desire to live in peace and remain in their homes.

One of them, Stanojko Petkovic, says for Kosovo Online that his first wish in the new year is peace.

"Every normal person would first wish for peace throughout the world, and we Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija have even more reasons for that. To have lasting peace, for everyone to live in their homes with their neighbors and relatives. I wish well-being and welfare to everyone", Petkovic said.

In the new year, Marko Popovic primarily wished everyone good health.

"Above all, good health to everyone, and everything else will fall into place. My wishes are a bit modest, lots of love and happiness", Popovic said.

Their fellow citizen, Vladimir Vujovic, wishes for a happier and more prosperous New Year.

"That we all stay alive and healthy and that in these difficult and turbulent times, we try to exist in the same way as we have so far. That we try to survive, not only as a family but also as a society, and I hope that this year will be happier and more prosperous for all of us", Vujovic wished.
