Sign for Kosovo Post installed at small post office in North Mitrovica, police securing the site

Signs for Kosovo Post were installed today on the building of the small post office in North Mitrovica, which previously housed a branch of Serbia’s Post Office.

As Kosovo Online has learned, the building is currently undergoing renovation, with old signs and stickers being removed. Workers are painting the exterior of the building, and two signs bearing the name of the Kosovo postal company have been put up.

Two police officers are present at the site, providing security for the Kosovo Post workers during the renovation work.

So far, there is no official information regarding the opening date of this facility.

As a reminder, the building that previously provided services through Serbia’s Post Office was closed in August last year as part of a Kosovo Police operation aimed at shutting down Serbia Post facilities in northern Kosovo.
