Wives of arrested Serbs: They were taken for an information interview and did not return

The wives of the arrested former police officers of the Kosovo Police, Sladjan Trajkovic and Dejan Pantic, said today that they feared for their families after their husbands were taken for an informational interview from which they had not returned yet, RTV reports.

Trajkovic's wife, Suzana, says that her husband was taken into custody and that she now fears for her daughter.

"You can imagine how I feel. I live in a Bosniak neighborhood with my daughter. It is a mixed environment. I am not afraid for myself, I am afraid for her. The only comfort I have is in the Serbian institutions and the state of Serbia. I know they are with us, as well as the Municipality of Kosovska Mitrovica. That gives me some strength," Trajkovic told TV Most, as reported by Tanjug.

She adds that the Trajkovic family has lived in Kosovska Mitrovica for 23 years, and they have never had a problem with Albanians, Roma, or Serbs before.

"Sladjan had worked in the Kosovo Police since 2013. Checks were done, and we have correct relations with everyone. Now that they took off their uniform a month ago, this is what happened," Trajkovic says.

Dejan Pantic's wife, Suzana, says that her family's life has completely changed.

"From an ordinary, peaceful life, our life turned into hell. They took him for an information interview, and we have known nothing about him from that moment. I have three children, and I comfort them. I keep telling them: dad is alive and he will come back sometime, but it's a question when will that be," Pantic told TV Most.

She added that after 13 days of his arrest, she didn't know anything about her husband and didn't know what to think anymore.

"I have hope, but it is slowly fading," Pantic said.
