Agim Shahini from the Kosovo Business Alliance, commenting on the decision of the Kosovo Government regarding the dinar, emphasized that it was important for Kosovo to coordinate with the international factor to avoid further strains in relations with partners, ABC News reports.

"The decision of the Central Bank of Kosovo is legal, and the issue is that the applicability can be made legitimate. For the Serbs, who number more than 50,000, this could pose a problem. This decision has its criticisms, but the Kosovo factor must align with the international factor to avoid further cooling of relations. It would be best to postpone the implementation of the Central Bank's decision and allow citizens and institutions in Serbia to obtain the necessary licenses. Since we have been under sanctions for eight months today, and this is a significant loss for us. So, delaying this process would be the best solution," Shahini said, among other things.

Ambassadors of the Quint countries have requested that Kosovo suspend the implementation of the regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo, which stipulates that the only currency for payments in Kosovo is the euro.

Focusing on the Transparency International report on Kosovo, Shahini said that corruption remained a problem, emphasizing that the lack of political will was still a concern.
