The value of trade exchange between Serbia and Kosovo during 2022 was close to 545 million dollars.

According to the preliminary data of the Republic Institute of Statistics, which Kosovo Online had access to, goods worth 490.5 million dollars were marketed to Kosovo from Serbia, while goods worth 54.5 million dollars were delivered from Kosovo. The coverage of delivered goods with those marketed from Kosovo is 899 percent.

Looking at the signatory countries of the "Open Balkan" initiative, the value of Serbia's trade with Albania last year was 302.2 million dollars, and it was almost 1.6 billion dollars with North Macedonia. Serbia exported goods worth 1.02 billion dollars to North Macedonia, while imports from the southern neighbor amounted to 536.5 million.

The value of goods exported from Serbia to Albania is also higher than that imported from that country and amounts to 216 versus 85.8 million dollars, which represents the coverage of imports by exports of 252 percent.

Looking at the countries of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA), according to the preliminary data of the Republic Institute of Statistics, in 2022, Serbia had a total foreign trade exchange worth 7.3 billion dollars, with exports reaching 5.1 billion dollars and imports being just under 2.2 billion dollars.

This means that Serbia had a clear surplus in trade with CEFTA member countries in 2022 because the coverage of imports by exports amounted to 233 percent.

Serbia's most important foreign trade partner in the CEFTA system is still Bosnia and Herzegovina, which accounts for almost half of the exchange, in the amount of 3.45 billion dollars, followed by Montenegro with a trading volume of 3.1 billion dollars.

Serbia has the most underdeveloped trade within the CEFTA agreement with Moldova, as the exchange with that country amounted to only 69 million dollars.
