The Kosovo Police identified the minors who set on fire the church doors in Prizren

Three minors suspected of setting fire to the door of the Church of St. Panteleimon in Prizren, had been identified and questioned in the presence of a social worker and a defense attorney, and they had confessed to the crime, the Kosovo Police announced.

According to the Kosovo Police, two of them are 15, and one is 13 years old.

"After analyzing all the evidence, the police managed to identify three juvenile suspects, two 15-year-olds and one 13-year-old, who are suspected of being involved in the case. The suspects were interrogated in the presence of a social worker and a defense attorney and they confessed to the crime," according to the police statement published on Facebook.

As it was added, in consultation with the prosecutor, the three suspected minors had been released, and the case would continue in the regular procedure.

In the police statement, it is mentioned that the case of damage to the door of the Orthodox church had been reported on April 17, when, as they say, a citizen noticed a fire near the door of the church, responded, and managed to put out the fire without causing major damage.

He informed the police that at the church of St. Panteleimon, unknown perpetrators had tried to set the front door on fire.
