Miljkovic: Detention lifted for four Serbs arrested in Djakovica

Lawyer Predrag Miljkovic announced that the Supreme Court of Kosovo has lifted the detention order for four Serbs who were arrested in Djakovica.

On April 6, B.R., N.V., P.K., and M.S. were arrested in Djakovica, and a one-month detention was imposed on them the following day.

Miljkovic, who represents N.V., stated that the Supreme Court of Kosovo ruled today that there is no reasonable suspicion that the items found in possession of the Serbs — which were the basis for the charges — constitute cold weapons, for which they were accused of committing the criminal offense of “unauthorized ownership, control, or possession of weapons.”

“The Supreme Court of Kosovo today issued a ruling accepting the requests for legal protection filed by the four defense attorneys in the case against the accused Serbs in Djakovica. With this decision, the Court upheld the defense’s position that there is no reasonable suspicion that the items in question were cold weapons. Consequently, their detention was lifted today,” said Miljkovic.
