The Special Prosecution labeled last year's events in front of the Municipal Election Commission in North Mitrovica as a "terrorist attack", and charges have been filed against four individuals

The Special Prosecution has filed charges with the Special Department of the Basic Court in Pristina against four individuals for the criminal offense of "terrorist attack", according to a statement from the Prosecution.
The Special Prosecution stated that the accused were identified as M.M, A.V, D.P, and M.V.
They are accused of entering the offices of the Municipal Election Commission in North Mitrovica on "Kolasinska" Street" to seriously intimidate the population and unjustly coerce the public authority in this case, the CEC, with the aim of preventing local elections.
The statement alleges that they are also charged with "destabilizing or destroying the basic political and constitutional structures of Kosovo".
According to the statement from the Special Prosecution, the accused, along with unidentified individuals, "committed a terrorist attack" by throwing two hand grenades in the direction of the aforementioned office.
It is mentioned that one grenade exploded, causing significant material damage and endangering the lives of CEC and police officials.
"By doing so, the accused M.M, A.V, D.P, and M.V. committed the criminal offense of 'Committing a terrorist act' from Article 129 paragraph 1 in connection with Article 128 paragraph 1, according to paragraph 1.7 in connection with Article 31 of the Criminal Code of Kosovo", the statement of the Special Prosecution says.
