Verdict delivered in the case of Oliver Ivanovic's murder, 22 years in prison for four defendants
The verdict in the case of Oliver Ivanovic's murder was read today at the Basic Court of Pristina.
Defendant Marko Rosic was sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined 10,000 euros. The time he spent in detention was credited towards his sentence.
Nedeljko Spasojevic was sentenced to four years and six months and fined 4,300 euros.
Dragisa Markovic was found guilty of complicity and abuse of official position. He was sentenced to four years.
Zarko Jovanovic was found guilty of abuse of official position and complicity. He was sentenced to four years. For the crime of unauthorized possession of weapons, he was fined 1,500 euros.
Silvana Arsovic was acquitted, as was Rade Basara.
According to the Special Prosecutor's Office's closing statement, the prosecution of Basara was dropped due to a lack of evidence.
The defendants were not in custody during the trial.
Oliver Ivanovic was murdered on January 16, 2018, in front of his party's headquarters in North Mitrovica, and the court process began in July 2021.
