Those gathered at the protest in Pristina demanded Kurti's resignation because of his statements about Oliver Ivanovic

Descendants of fallen KLA members protested today in front of the Government of Kosovo due to Prime Minister Albin Kurti's statements about the late Serbian politician Oliver Ivanovic, demanding Kurti's resignation.

Disgruntled citizens are shouting "we don't forget, we don't forgive" and they are holding banners with the inscriptions "History doesn't change", and "Prime Minister, don't provoke us", Reporteri reports.

The son of a fallen member of the KLA and one of the organizers of this protest, Berat Beqiri, said that they had called this protest to express "anger at the repeated attempts of political representatives to distort history."

He added that the words Kurti had said about Ivanovic had been "a serious public blow to all the families of the victims".

The crowd demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Kurti.

"These people, you insulted, do not forget. If Ivanovic continues to be amnestied, we will be the most powerful voice that Kosovo has seen. Albin, resign or ask for forgiveness," Beqiri said.

PDK MPs Blerta Deliu-Kodra and Floreta Zejnullah were also seen at the protest.

On the anniversary of the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, Kurti said that he wanted the memory of Ivanovic to live on, as a man who had worked for a sustainable future and a multi-ethnic Kosovo.
