The Election Panel dismisses Self-Determination’s complaint against the CEC's decision to certify the Serb List
The Election Panel for Appeals and Petitions (EPAP) has dismissed the complaint by the Self-Determination Movement against the Central Election Commission's decision to certify the participation of the Serb List in the parliamentary elections on February 9.
The Election Panel for Appeals and Petitions made the decision today, and Self-Determination has the right to appeal to the Supreme Court within 48 hours.
"The complaint No. 16./2025, dated January 8, 2025, filed by the Self-Determination Movement, based in Pristina against the Central Election Commission, is rejected as unacceptable. The complaint sought the annulment of CEC Decision No. 01/2328-2024 dated December 31, 2042, and ordered the CEC to make another decision," states the decision of the Election Panel.
Self-Determination had filed an appeal to the Election Panel against the CEC's decision to certify the Serb List for participation in the parliamentary elections and requested that this decision be annulled.
In a statement on January 2, this party stated that the CEC had allowed the Serb List to participate in the elections in an "unprecedented manner" and contrary to the Law on General Elections. They reiterated in the appeal that the Serb List "was and remains the party of the main terrorist Radoicic," and that Radoicic "had previously used it against Kosovo, and now serves as a structure that protects and amnesties terrorism."
Self-Determination had previously appealed to the Supreme Court of Kosovo, which dismissed their appeal and instructed the CEC to certify the participation of the Serb List in the elections, which the Commission did.
