The President of the Serb List, Zlatan Elek, and member of the party’s Presidency, Igor Simic, met today with the mayors of Ranilug, Novo Brdo, Partes–Pasjane, and Klokot to discuss challenges, shared priorities, and concrete steps to improve the living conditions of the Serbian population in the Kosovo Pomoravlje region.

The meeting was hosted by the Mayor of Ranilug, Tanja Antic, and was attended by the Mayor of Novo Brdo, Sasa Milosevic, the Mayor of Partes, Dragan Petkovic, and the Mayor of Klokot, Božidar Dejanovic.

As conveyed to journalists by Igor Simic, a member of the Serb List Presidency, the meeting focused on the problems facing the Serbian people and on improving living conditions for Serbs in Kosovo Pomoravlje.

“We discussed the problems of our people and the need to act jointly in order to improve the conditions in which they live, as well as the creation of new jobs and the improvement of the social status of the Serbian population,” Simic said.

He emphasized that without the support of Serbia, the Serbian people would not be able to survive in Kosovo.

“In that sense, we will provide special encouragement to everyone, not only in the public but also in the private sector, in order to employ as many young people as possible, so that they remain in these areas and plan their future in Kosovo Pomoravlje, as well as throughout Kosovo,” Simic stated.

The Mayor of Ranilug, Tanja Antic, expressed her satisfaction with hosting the leadership of the Serb List and her colleagues from other municipalities of Kosovo Pomoravlje.

“We discussed cooperation among ourselves, how we can complement one another, how in the coming period we can economically strengthen our four municipalities, invest in infrastructure, schools, and hospitals, and further empower our population economically. I hope that better times are ahead for the municipalities south of the Ibar,” Antic said.
