The President of the Serb List, Zlatan Elek, declared victory for the party in today’s snap parliamentary elections, stating that, according to preliminary results based on votes from Serbian-populated areas, the party won 90 percent of the vote and secured 10 parliamentary seats. He emphasized that, compared to the results from February, this represents 3,000 more votes for the Serb List.

“I would like to thank the Serbian people throughout Kosovo and Metohija, who demonstrated unity, solidarity, and togetherness, stood by their Serbia, and gave 90 percent of their votes to the Serb List,” Elek said at a press conference.

Elek noted that, when compared with the February results, the Serb List won 3,000 additional votes.

“In Serbian areas, the Serb List won 41,850 votes, while Nenad Rasic received 3,840 votes, which currently means that all ten seats are in the hands of the Serbian people,” Elek stressed.

He presented preliminary results by municipalities where the Serbian population forms a majority.

Thus, in North Mitrovica, the Serb List won 5,220 votes, while Nenad Rasic’s party received 203. In Zvecan, the Serb List won 3,330 votes, compared to 69 votes for the Civic Initiative For Freedom, Justice and Survival.

In Leposavić, 5,791 voters cast their ballots for the Serb List, and 496 for Nenad Rasic’s party, while in Zubin Potok the Serb List won 2,891 votes, and For Freedom, Justice and Survival received 53 votes.

In Gracanica, the vote ratio was 6,562 to 1,182 in favor of the Serb List, while in Strpce the difference was even greater—4,245 to 296 votes.

In Novo Brdo, the Serb List won 3,178 votes, while For Freedom, Justice and Survival received 104 votes.

In Klokot, 914 voters supported the Serb List, and 164 voted for the Civic Initiative For Freedom, Justice and Survival.

In Partes, 1,708 voters voted for the Serb List and 155 for Nenad Rasic’s party, while in Ranilug the Serb List won 2,176 votes, compared to 300 votes for For Freedom, Justice and Survival.

“We won in all 10 municipalities where the Serb List has mayors and a two-thirds majority in local assemblies,” Elek emphasized.

However, he pointed out that, given the experience from the February elections and based on the data they have, Albin Kurti once again helped Nenad Rasic secure a certain number of votes, which is why it is necessary to wait for the final results of the Central Election Commission (CEC), which will confirm the number of seats won.

In this context, he noted that in Prizren—where only several dozen Serbs live—Rasic won 332 votes in “purely” Albanian areas.

According to Elek, the situation is similar in Djakovica, where Rasic won 52 votes, in Urosevac, where he received 33 votes, and in the municipality of Djeneral Jankovic, where 17 voters cast ballots for Rasic, despite the fact that there are no Serbs there.

Elek also noted that at polling stations where Rasic won votes, the Serb List did not have its own election observers.

He once again thanked everyone who voted for the Serb List today.

“Thank you to our supporters and sympathizers, and special thanks to President Aleksandar Vucic and our Serbia, which supported us,” Elek added.

A member of the Presidency of the Serb List, Igor Simic, noted that the counting of conditional ballots is still ongoing, with more than 1,000 such ballots under review, primarily votes cast by displaced Serbs, which are yet to be counted. For this reason, he said, all results should be viewed as preliminary.
