Muhaxhiri: The opposition surrendered and handed victory to Kurti

Political analyst Artan Muhaxhiri said today, commenting on the preliminary results of the snap parliamentary elections, that the Kosovo opposition “surrendered” and gave a major gift to Self-Determination leader Albin Kurti.

Muhaxhiri believes that even Kurti did not expect such a large victory.

“I think the Kosovo opposition gave Kurti a big victory as a gift. They surrendered. I believe Kurti did not expect such a large victory. In any case, over the past five years there has been no significant development, neither economic nor political, nor progress in relations with the West. Logically, this result should not have happened, because Kosovo lost touch with the lower strata of society, with people’s needs. They ran a poor campaign, but the result is what it is,” Muhaxhiri told Kosovo Online.

According to him, the opposition lacks the key “to decode Kurti’s populism.”

“Kurti, with his rhetorical skills, was involved in all topics, and that is why he achieved this result,” Muhaxhiri concluded.
