Abdixhiku: Kurti in a parallel universe; he accepted the CSM

The president of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, said that while Prime Minister Albin Kurti was talking about security in the parliament, the north of Kosovo was without police, judges, prosecutors and basic municipal services, Telegrafi reports.

Abdixhiku said that when he had heard Prime Minister Albin Kurti's speech in parliament that day, he had gotten the impression that he had been living in a parallel universe. He had also criticized how Kurti approached the dialogue with Serbia, as well as how he managed Kosovo.

"When you listen to the stances of the authorities, you get the impression that you live in a parallel universe... The prime minister talked about security and the fight against crime, while we are talking about 17 percent of the territory without police, judges, and prosecutors... Traffic accidents cannot be regulated in the north; there is no one to deal with domestic violence. How does the state support itself? From speeches from Pristina," Abdixhiku said at the parliamentary session dedicated to the north of Kosovo, which Kurti attended.

He said that the Kosovo government was talking about how the dialogue had changed because they were in the government; while the statement of the High EU Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, says that the parties understand that all dialogue agreements must be implemented, including the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.

"What kind of change is this," Abdixhiku asked.

As he stated, the Kosovo government was talking about the approach to the dialogue, but also that he had read a paragraph of what Borrell presented in the document on the agreement on license plates, Koha reports.

"All parties must implement the agreements reached in the dialogue. You accepted the Association. There may be doubts about how good it is, but you accepted it. In the first agreement you sign, you commit to implementation. What is the difference? This is the truth against the parallel universe that you are creating," Abdixhiku said at the parliamentary session.
