The beaten Obrenovic in need of surgeon's assistance; lawyer prevented from documenting injuries

Lawyer Predrag Miljkovic, who is representing Dusan Obrenovic (25), a young man who was brutally beaten by Kosovo police during his arrest and detention, was prevented from documenting and photographing his injuries in the detention facility in South Mitrovica.

Obrenovic, who was arrested yesterday during the protests in Zvecan, as previously announced by Miljkovic today, was brutally beaten during the arrest and later in detention.

Miljkovic visited the injured young man again today and stated that Obrenovic had had significant bleeding from his mouth last night and that he required a surgeon's examination due to a suspicion of internal bleeding, which was also noted in the report by the doctor who examined Obrenovic in the detention unit.

Obrenovic (25) is experiencing pain, and as confirmed by his defense lawyer, he has extensive bruising.

According to his neighbors, Obrenovic comes from a modest, poor family and has lost his father.
