The representative of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Hisen Berisha, said that the government of Albin Kurti cannot move forward without coordination with the USA, especially on the issue of the license plates, and that it should apologize to the USA, because with its decisions it has put them in an unenviable position in international diplomacy, Gazeta Blik reports.

"The government should diplomatically apologize to the USA for putting them in an unenviable position in international diplomacy, due to Prime Minister Kurti's obstinate attitude regarding their request to postpone the deadline for the license plates", Berisha says.

As he said, Kurti must thoroughly analyze the whole situation and finally make a decision.

"Regarding the postponement of the deadline for the license plates and the demands of international partners in this regard, I think the government cannot proceed without coordination with our partners, especially the US", Berisha said.

Berisha also adds the fact that the USA is trying to find alternatives so that the situation in Kosovo would be under control and to avoid escalation in the north, otherwise, according to him, if Kurti does not delay the deadline for the license plates, the situation will worsen.

"This request by the US stems from the unprincipled behavior of the Government itself, and now they have tried to find an alternative, through which they can keep the situation under control and not politically harm Kosovo. Otherwise, with the Government's leadership, Kosovo will fall into an unenviable position, and for that we have warnings on the ground, as happened with the rally in the north. So there are warnings about the possible worsening of the situation", Berisha said.
