Burjani: The conflict in the Middle East will not spill over into Europe

Political analyst Blerim Burjani told Kosovo Online that the current conflicts in the Middle East have a local character and that there is no real danger of them spilling over into other regions, despite the expressed concern in Europe.

“I do not think the war will spread to other regions, these are local conflicts. These are processes that are called cyclical and that will stop after a certain period of time. European countries are more afraid than is realistically necessary,” Burjani emphasized.

Although he does not believe they are directly threatened by this conflict, Burjani says that the member states of the European Union have woken up and that this is reflected in increased budget allocations for NATO.

“The policy of Donald Trump has led European countries to begin implementing and planning new defense budgets,” Burjani concluded.

As he stated, the world is no longer safe, and it is necessary to be cautious in such situations, while European countries, in his view, must invest more in defense.

“European countries must increase the finances allocated to defense,” Burjani said.
