Costa: The future of the citizens of Kosovo lies in the European Union

President of the European Council António Costa congratulated the citizens of Kosovo on Europe Day and stated that their future lies in the European Union.

Costa addressed the citizens of Kosovo as future members of the European Union.

“Dear citizens of Kosovo, today I address you as future members of the European Union. On Europe Day, we celebrate our common European project, when our founding fathers chose unity over division and cooperation over conflict,” Costa said.

He emphasized that the future of the citizens of Kosovo is in the EU, adding that significant efforts are being made in that direction.

“They decided to build a future of peace, freedom, and prosperity on the ashes of the Second World War. We believe that your future is in the European Union. Much is being done to make this a reality. You share the same goal as the rest of the region – the European Union. Continue working to make it a reality. Together, we will build a common European future. Long live Europe,” Costa stated.
