Djuric congratulates Serb List: Clear message of Serbs’ determination to remain in their homeland
Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric congratulated the Serb List on its election victory in Kosovo and said that the election results send a clear message about, as he stated, the determination of Serbs to remain and persevere in their centuries-old homeland.
“Congratulations to the Serb List on its convincing victory, and to the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, who once again demonstrated unity, dignity, and democratic resolve despite the unfortunately usual pressure, intimidation, and attempts to undermine their political will,” Djuric wrote on the social network “X”.
He added that the election results send a clear message about the determination of the Serbian people to remain and persevere in their centuries-old homeland.
“I sincerely hope that the institutions emerging from these elections will act responsibly, invest in better interethnic relations, and finally commit themselves to the implementation of the agreements reached within the EU-facilitated Dialogue, including those obligations that have remained unfulfilled for far too long. Peace, stability, and mutual respect can only be built through dialogue, trust, and equal rights for all communities,” Djuric concluded.
The Serb List won the election in all ten municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo in the snap parliamentary elections.
