Ambassador of Serbia to the US, Marko Djuric, has spoken out regarding a photo that surfaced on social media yesterday, showing him in a restaurant with former Vice President of the Serb List, Milan Radoicic.

Among other things, Djuric stated that besides regularly meeting with various Serbian representatives, whom he still maintained contact with and enjoyed meeting today, he had also met many times, as a part of his job, with numerous Albanian leaders who were being charged by domestic and international courts for unspeakable war crimes against the Serbs.

"I would be disappointed if a negative campaign had not been launched regarding my imminent return. Even if it is quite pathetic. I have no intention of justifying myself to Kurti and Svecla or their bots and other malicious individuals for anything. I have never hidden nor been ashamed of the very public contacts I have within the scope of my job. In addition to various Serbian representatives with whom I still regularly engage and enjoy meeting today, I have also met many times, as a part of my job, with numerous Albanian leaders who are being charged by domestic and international courts for unspeakable war crimes against my people," Djuric wrote on the social network "X".

Djuric wrote that such meetings have always been personally much harder for him.

"Similarly, the meetings I had to have with ethnonationalists Kurti and Svecla, who brutally violate the basic human rights of the Serbs in Kosovo and have innocent blood on their hands. I have been absent from daily politics for a while, so I am somewhat surprised by the passion with which some in the public sphere are conducting a campaign against their own country, thinking that they will gain political advantage by doing so. However, they can expect new major disappointments in the near future. I am returning soon and I can't wait to confront all of them together," Djuric stated.
