Djuric: Kurti's fiasco at the UN is best illustrated by the science fiction story of a plot to assassinate him

Nothing speaks more about the fiasco Albin Kurti suffered at the United Nations Security Council than his latest sad science fiction story of a plot to assassinate him," Serbia's Ambassador to the US, Marko Djuric said.

"After 13 out of 15 UN Security Council members expressed grave concern over his very real and destructive actions, is there a better way to spin the story than to turn someone who harasses, arrests, and cleanses an entire ethnic group into a victim? And, of course, blame Serbia for it. Why not include aliens in the plot?" Djuric sarcastically asked on the social network "X".

He added that Kurti had forgotten one thing:

"You can sometimes lie to some people, but you cannot lie to all the people all the time".

Previously, Kurti stated that during his visit to Skopje, he had not felt threatened despite receiving information that his security was compromised by, as he said, "individuals and structures connected to official Belgrade".
