Djuric with Tanzanian Foreign Minister: Serbia remains committed to respecting international law

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric met today, ahead of the commemorative gathering marking the 65th anniversary of the Belgrade Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Republic of Tanzania Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, stressing on the occasion that Serbia remained committed to respecting international law and the territorial integrity and sovereignty of independent states.

Djuric said that Serbia was committed to revitalizing and strengthening relations with all African countries, with particular importance attached to advancing cooperation with Tanzania.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Tanzania, describing it as an important step toward establishing a broader partnership.

“Briefing his counterpart on the difficult situation facing the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, Djuric reiterated that Serbia remained committed to respecting international law and the territorial integrity and sovereignty of independent states,” the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Regarding economic cooperation, the two ministers agreed that there was mutual interest in strengthening it and that the areas offering the greatest potential for progress included agriculture, the food industry, tourism, and education.

Djuric expressed satisfaction with Tanzania’s confirmation of its participation in Expo 2027, voicing confidence that the African country would be presented in the best possible manner during the event.
