Djuric: Trump's words a powerful confirmation of new momentum in Serbia-US relations

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric said that US President Donald Trump's statement that the United States has very good relations with Serbia represents a powerful confirmation of the new momentum in relations between the two countries.

Djuric wrote on the social network “X” that further cooperation would be built on this foundation through strategic dialogue and concrete activities that benefit both countries.

“President Trump’s words are a powerful confirmation of the new momentum in Serbia–US relations. We will build on this foundation through our Strategic Dialogue and concrete cooperation that benefits both nations,” Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric said.

US President Donald Trump said yesterday that America has very good relations with Serbia.

Serbia and the US launched their strategic dialogue in July this year.

The first round of the strategic dialogue was opened by Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, marking the beginning of a new chapter in relations between the two countries and establishing an institutional framework for further strategic cooperation.

Serbia and the United States launched a strategic dialogue which, according to interlocutors of Kosovo Online, represents a turning point that raises relations between the two countries to a higher level, with mutual respect for their national and foreign policy interests. The State Department said that the strategic dialogue reflects a new era in US-Serbia relations, while analysts say it will also open new opportunities for investment in Serbia and increase cooperation with the US in several areas, including the energy sector, which fits into Washington’s plans for the entire Western Balkans region.
