Drecun: Any destabilization of Serbia prevents helping Serbs in Kosovo

The Chairman of the Serbian Parliament’s Committee on Defense and Internal Affairs, Milovan Drecun, stated today that any destabilization of Serbia, as well as any obstruction of its economic development, prevents the state from fully assisting Serbs in Kosovo, RTV reports.

“If someone disrupts economic development, reduces investment inflows, slows the creation of new jobs, and causes financial damage, there is less money in the budget. When there is less money in the budget, there are fewer resources available to help — among others — the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija,” Drecun told Tanjug.

Speaking about the action of a group of Serbs from Kosovo, who have been walking to Novi Sad since October 29 in support of the state and President Aleksandar Vucic, Drecun said that they invested all their mental and physical strength to endure the march, thus showing how much Serbia means to them.

“They were not like some others, marching in front of cameras — like those blockers — who would then get into vans and continue by car. They truly walked on foot and endured everything, because that shows how much they care about the state of Serbia. They made it clear that without the state of Serbia and its support, they cannot survive,” Drecun said.
