Elek: New municipal Presidents will request access to all documentation
The President of the Serb List, Zlatan Elek, announced that the new presidents of municipalities with a Serbian majority will, upon assuming office, request access to all documentation.
When asked by Kosovo Online about information suggesting that the current municipal presidents and administrations are already removing documents, and what actions he intends to take in that regard, Elek stated that if someone has worked legally, there is no reason to hide documentation.
“There have been enough accusations directed at the Serb List, claims from Pristina that our mayors are thieves, yet their work over the past three years has not been evaluated negatively, and nothing problematic has been found. Serbian mayors did not remove documentation or take it to Serbia or Pristina. If someone has worked legally, there is no reason to hide papers,” Elek emphasized.
He stated that the new municipal presidents will exercise their authority and, upon taking office on Friday, request access to all documents.
