EU: CSM must be formed without delay and any conditions

European Union Spokesperson Peter Stano reiterated that the EU position was that all agreements reached in the dialogue must be implemented without delay, including the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, Reporteri reports.

Stano responded to the statement of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who said that the international factor insisted on the Community Agreement implementation but that it was unfair that the Community Agreement was a prerequisite for the start of negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia per the Franco-German plan.

Stano stated that the CSM formation was Kosovo's legal obligation.

"The position of the EU on this matter is known – all agreements from the dialogue must be implemented without further delay and any conditions. This also applies to the Community establishment, which is a legal obligation for Kosovo," Stano said.
