Political analyst from Pristina, Afrim Hoti, tells Kosovo Online that the situation regarding voting by Serbs from Kosovo who live in Serbia in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Kosovo is no different from that in other countries. As he mentioned, they can vote by coming to Kosovo or by mail, but also that the Pristina Liaison Office in Belgrade could also serve as a voting location.

“The first option is for people to come here and vote directly in their municipalities and towns, and if that is not possible, then mail is the second option. Kosovo does not have a diplomatic mission in Serbia, but there is the Republic of Kosovo's Liaison Office in the Republic of Serbia, and according to the Vienna Convention, this is a diplomatic mission, which means it could serve Serbs who are citizens of Kosovo to go to Belgrade and vote there,” Hoti said.

When asked whether this Office will be prepared to facilitate the electoral process on February 9 and whether voting materials will be delivered there, Hoti stated that this depends on the authorities at the Central Election Commission.

“If they are preparing it in other diplomatic missions of Kosovo, then it should be the same, they can organize it in Belgrade as well,” the analyst believes.
