Political analyst Visar Imeri stated in an interview with Kosovo Online that Kosovo must adjust its stance and governance style following Donald Trump's election victory in the United States.

"I believe there are people in Kosovo, especially those from the opposition, who recognize that the way Kurti has handled foreign policy, particularly with the U.S., will become more problematic under Trump’s administration. Everyone is calling for Kurti to make changes," Imeri said.

According to Imeri, although Kosovo is currently embroiled in a "political war" in the run-up to elections, which makes criticism expected, the need for a shift in approach is undeniable.

"We need to understand that we are in the middle of an election campaign, and we’ll see more of these battles between political parties. However, it is clear that Kosovo must change its stance and governance style now that Trump is in power. I believe Republicans will have a different approach to these issues, especially if Grenell personally assumes a position, which is highly likely," Imeri explained.

Commenting on the conversation between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Donald Trump, Imeri emphasized that Kurti faced significant criticism for not attempting the same.

"Many have criticized Kurti for not trying to talk to Trump, especially after Vucic announced that he had done so," Imeri stated.
