We can confirm that KFOR was informed that the Serbian Armed Forces would carry out planned training involving paratroopers deployed from helicopters in the village of Muhovac in Serbia. This is a routine activity conducted on the territory of Serbia and does not pose a threat to security or stability in the region, KFOR told Kosovo Online.

In a written response, KFOR further stated that the NATO-led KFOR mission continues to closely monitor the situation along the “administrative boundary line and throughout Kosovo,” maintaining constant communication and effective coordination with local security authorities and the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces.

“KFOR remains fully committed to implementing its mandate – based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 – to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all people living in Kosovo at all times, in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the EULEX, in their respective roles as security providers,” KFOR stated in its response to our portal.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said yesterday, regarding exercises by members of the Serbian Armed Forces near Bujanovac, that it was “a provocation and an attempt to undermine the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country,” and today reiterated that Kosovo is facing “provocations at the border.”
