NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR, stated that it was ready to respond to all security challenges and refused to speculate on any future scenarios regarding the possibility of repeated attacks in the north, Koha reports.

As reported by the Communication Office, KFOR is in close contact with Kosovo institutions and security organizations, as well as with EULEX, the Serbian Armed Forces Headquarters, OSCE, and the UN.

"We will continue our efforts to prevent any escalation and are ready to respond to any challenge, adjusting our position to the needs and continuing close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and EULEX. KFOR continues to act after the Kosovo Police and EULEX. As NATO's Secretary General stated during his last visit to the Western Balkans in November, regional stability depends on all parties choosing diplomacy over violence", the statement says.

KFOR added that it strongly supported the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia mediated by the European Union, stating that "parties must engage in good faith".

KFOR described the situation in the north as calm but fragile.
