Members of the Kosovo Police raided last night the security premises of the Clinical Hospital Center (KBC) Kosovska Mitrovica and the Health Center Kosovska Mitrovica. Following the raid, the Serb List immediately contacted the embassies of all Quint countries, the EU Mission, UNMIK, OSCE, and KFOR, Tanjug reports.

They requested the urgent deployment of KFOR and EULEX personnel in the immediate vicinity of healthcare and educational institutions in order to prevent such raids, which endanger the functioning of institutions and the treatment of citizens.

Kosovo’s caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti stated last night that “the dualism of the healthcare and educational system is not sustainable” and that “integration and unification are needed.”

In response, the Serb List announced that threats of some sort of integration of healthcare and education into the Kosovo system are not part of any negotiations or agreements.

“These are the pillars of the survival of the Serbian people, and they will remain so. All international agreements clearly state that these are separate systems, and that is what the Serb List, with the support of the Serbian people, will fight for,” the Serb List stated, adding that in light of Kurti’s clear threat, they expect an even stronger reaction from the international community.
