Linta: Kurti’s regime carrying out deliberate and sustained campaign against Serbian people

President of the Association of Serbs from the Region Miodrag Linta said today that the government of Kosovo’s caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti was carrying out a deliberate and sustained campaign against the Serbian people, their property, traditions, and right to remain in their centuries-old homes in Kosovo.

According to Linta, one of many examples of this is the continued forcible demolition of Serbian-owned structures on the shores of Lake Gazivode, in the municipality of Zubin Potok.

“This concerns six structures in the village of Rezala, including the Holy Trinity community hall. It is particularly distressing that the hall was demolished, as it was built by local residents two decades ago and used for gatherings and celebrations of the village patron saint’s day. Seventeen Serbian-owned structures have already been demolished at Gazivode. Demolition orders have also been served on homeowners in the neighboring village of Kovace, who are living in fear,” Linta said.

According to him, the European Union, KFOR, EULEX, and other international representatives are still failing to take concrete measures against what he described as the terror of Kurti’s regime, with the aim of ensuring that all property disputes are resolved exclusively in accordance with the law and with full respect for the rights of Serbian property owners, RTV reported.

“The international community must not limit itself to declarative condemnations while Serbian families are being subjected to enormous pressure on the ground and the ethnic cleansing of Serbs is being carried out,” Linta concluded.
